Project Associate
Job Description for Project Associate in the Domain of Robotics:
The MINRO centre at IIIT-Bangalore is looking for a Project Associate in the development and testing of mechanisms, such as novel robotic grippers, for the manipulation of 3-D objects with varying geometric profiles. Candidates with experience in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Instrumentation/Robotics are encouraged to apply.
Required Skills:
1. Knowledge of 3-D modelling software such as SolidWorks or similar
2. Knowledge of computing software such as Scilab/Matlab
3. Basic Signal Processing, Control Systems, and Robotics (Manipulators and Grippers)
Preferable Skills:
1. Knowledge of Kinematics and Strength of Materials;
2. Modelling dynamics of mechanical systems
Minimum Qualifications:
1. B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Instrumentation Engg.
2. Strong Academic Record
3. Industrial/Practical Experience Preferred
Remuneration will be match (or better) existing government pay scales for project associates. The duration of the project is expected to be about 2 years. The offer will be for a contractual position of 1 year, which can be extended based on performance. The place of work will be Electronic City, Bangalore.
